Kira Mbuyi is a memory courier, carrying encrypted experiences between clients in a vertical megacity where neural implants are mandatory and the shared augmented reality of the Mesh overlays every moment of daily life. When a routine delivery begins to degrade inside her skull, she finds herself carrying the memories of a woman who technically does not exist, someone erased from the Algorithm's records so thoroughly that even the system cannot remember why she was deleted.

The trail leads to Hadrien Solis, the Spire executive who orchestrates erasures for the Board of Algorithms. Forty-seven people have been wiped from existence. Their names, their records, their histories, all replaced with nothing. But their memories survive, carried in the skulls of couriers and locked in data cores buried in the Foundations of the city.

With a 67-year-old Root surgeon who has spent fifteen years tracking the disappearances, a Mesh architect who found architecture in the system that should not exist, and a synthetic Shell experiencing fragmented memories of people who were erased before he was activated, Kira races to upload the true foundational records before the annual system update window closes.

But the Algorithm is not passive. It knows what they are doing. It is defending itself. And the man who built the lie that holds the city together will do anything to protect it, because he believes, with absolute sincerity, that the truth will destroy everything.
